Worked Answers
1. £56
30% of £80 = £24; sale price = £80 − £24 = £56
2. 240 seats
75% of 320 = 320 × 0.75 = 240
3. 75%
36 ÷ 48 = 0.75 = 75%
4. 56
10% of 160 = 16; 30% = 48; 5% = 8; 35% = 48 + 8 = 56

Increase = £1.32 − £1.20 = £0.12; percentage = £0.12 ÷ £1.20 × 100 = 10%
6. £240
20% of £200 = £40; total = £200 + £40 = £240
7. 37.5%

8. 30
15% of 200 = 200 × 0.15 = 30
9. £504
5% of £480 = £24; new pay = £480 + £24 = £504
10. £52
20% of £65 = £13; new price = £65 − £13 = £52
