Remember:
50% = half (divide by 2) | 25% = a quarter (divide by 4) | 10% = one tenth (divide by 10)
Answer each question. Write your working next to it.
1. What is 50% of 90?
2. What is 10% of 270?
3. What is 25% of 160?
4. What is 10% of 85?
5. There are 60 children in Year 6. 50% of them walk to school. How many children walk to school?

Worked Answers
- Q1: 50% of 90 = 90 ÷ 2 = 45
- Q2: 10% of 270 = 270 ÷ 10 = 27
- Q3: 25% of 160 = 160 ÷ 4 = 40
- Q4: 10% of 85 = 85 ÷ 10 = 8.5
- Q5: 50% of 60 = 60 ÷ 2 = 30 children
